Jr. Trejo founder of Westside Band in concert
Jr. Trejo

Jr. is a 4 time inductee to the Mid-America Music Hall of Fame (formly MN Rock/Country Hall of Fame): May 2006-The Mystics or Michael's Mystics. 2007-Danny's Reasons and Gypsy. 2008-Free & Easy.

...this was after Saxon Soul, and before Westside Band.

Jr. and Westside are proud of the
time and effort the band devotes
to giving back to the community.

Westside Band has performed at 7 of the 9 MN Amber Alert Benefits. Westside plans to perform at thr 2009 Amber Alert Benefirt and Motorcycle run at the Point in Hastings, the second Saturday in June - Flag Day.

Minnesota was the first state to have an organization raising funds to help educate and inform us about the Amber program, and to provide valuable technology tools for the officers in the field. MN was the first state to have its own Amber Alert Benefit charity as a registered 501.3c. Many of the same people who started with the first Amber Benefit, like Westside, are still involved today.

Thanks Jr. and Thanks Westside!

Funds are needed to help raise
awareness of the Amber Alert
Program among everyday people.
And funds are needed to help
defray the costs of each Alert.

Each time an Amber Alert is declared $4,000-$7,000 is expended just to turn on the phone and fax machine lines, and get the volunteers in to manage themassive task of getting the information out to the media. Most of us have seenthe new signs on the freeways telling us of traffic delays and accidents. The same signage also tells us when an alert is declared. Now, Amber Alert is getting on board with Minnesota's 511 communication, yet another touch point in getting the word out quickly to as many people as possible. And the WINNING OPTION IS  A. Come and Get Your Love :)

Your votes are in and counted.  An overwhelming majority said YES. Jr. looks a lot like Adrian Paul as "The Highlander." The new movie  went straight to video. It's been on HBO in September. As long time Highlander fans -- the reviews are mixed -- we haven't been able to watch it straight thru. Adrian Paul is getting a bit of a tummy. Still, he is HOT HOT HOT.

What is JT's favorite song?

Jr. (Louis) Trejo (AKA J.T. "June" "June Bug")

Accomplished drummer, percussionist, singer/songwriter, and producer, J.T. also plays keyboards, guitar and bass guitar. He is the heartbeat of Westside Band.

J.T. began playing drums at the age of three, performing at family functions and area establishments. He formed "Saxon's Soul" while in grade school and went on as a key performer with Danny's Reasons, The Mystics, Free and Easy, and Gypsy before founding Westside Band.

In the late 80s, Westside appeared on "Ed McMahon's Star Search" with their regional hit, "The Sweep." J.T. and Westside Band toured coast-to-coast with the program.

The band is the recipient of many regional music awards and recorded 5 CDs, as well as other studio projects. A new release is planned for 2008. In addition to the inpired collection of covers from the 70s, 80s and today, JT is adding original material to the mix from past CDs and the new projects.
